Randstad Education is working with a leading college in Cambridge who are looking for a passionate and skilled Assessor/Trainer - Construction (Civil Engineering). You will be a dedicated and professional Assessor/Trainer to coach, mentor, and guide the next generation of Civil Engineering apprentices.
This is a unique, field-based role that offers a perfect blend of autonomy, mentorship, and professional satisfaction.
This is a full time permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with their hours 08.30am - 04.30pm.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of Civil Engineering apprentices from start to completion.
- Conduct workplace visits for one-on-one coaching, training, and assessment.
- Track learner progress through regular reviews with both learners and employers.
- Support learners in building their e-portfolios and preparing for End-Point Assessment (EPA).
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with awarding body standards.
- Liaise with employers to ensure training aligns with workplace activities and conduct health & safety checks.
Preferred Skills:
- A Level 3 vocational qualification (or higher) in Civil Engineering.
- An Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, CAVA, A1).
- Recent and relevant industry experience within the Civil Engineering sector.
- Recent experience assessing apprentices in a relevant vocational area.
- Strong knowledge of vocational qualification systems and assessment processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Full UK driving licence (highly desirable).
- Teaching or assessor qualifications (e.g., PGCE, A1) are desirable but not essential.
