This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-quality housebuilder on a major residential development in Bicester.
You will be supporting the newly promoted Site Manager to deliver the construction of 2-to-5-bedroom homes, ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for an experienced supervisor or a current ASM looking for a fast-paced environment with a strong potential for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the direct support to the Site Manager, assisting in the overall management and operational coordination of the site.
- Rigorously enforce and monitor all on-site Health & Safety procedures and compliance, including site inductions, RAMS checks, and daily safety briefings.
- Conduct regular plot and stage inspections to ensure work meets technical specifications, NHBC standards, and client' high-quality benchmarks.
- Coordinate, direct, and motivate subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring they meet the programme schedule and resolve any on-site issues promptly.
- Assist in planning work sequences, monitoring progress against the build programme, and managing the effective flow of materials and plant.
- Support the Site Manager in achieving an excellent customer experience, particularly during the completion and handover phases.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Minimum experience as an Assistant Site Manager or experienced Site Supervisor on residential new-build projects.
- Valid SMSTS or SSSTS certification, CSCS Card and First Aid at Work certificate
- Proven knowledge of NHBC standards and residential construction processes.
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple trades effectively and maintain a proactive work environment.
- Strong communication, leadership, and IT skills.
