The Impact You'll Make (Key Responsibilities)
- Deliver focused interventions to pupils facing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) barriers.
- Execute proactive behaviour management techniques that foster a structured and nurturing atmosphere within the classroom and wider school.
- Establish meaningful, confidential relationships with students, acting as a trusted guide and advocate.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to refine and apply personalised student support plans.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop self-regulation skills and achieve academic milestones.
What You'll Need to Succeed (Essential Requirements)
- A minimum of six months demonstrable experience in a UK-based school setting, supporting young people.
- A strong track record in de-escalation techniques and delivering effective emotional support.
- Exceptional ability to connect with students, communicate clearly, and liaise effectively with colleagues.
- A required blend of patience, fortitude, and a deep commitment to the welfare and growth of adolescents.
- Consistent full-time commitment is required (typical hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday).
- Possession of a current Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to immediately undergo the application process.
