The Electronics Support Technician will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team within a high technology and state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.The Electronics Support Technician will be involved with the mission to continually improve the manufacturing areas, to deliver no accidents; no defects; and no lead time or cost growth.Electronics Support Technician - Key Responsibilities Act as a second to the Manufacturing Engineers on technical matters.Investigate and repair line side return failure parts.Implementation of associated continuous improvement activities. Actively seeking, developing and implementing continuous improvement ideas.Implement, improve and maintain cell manufacturing system layout.Update relevant documentation to support the no defect manufacturing goal.Coordinate the returns to/from the internal manufacturing areas.Coordinate external returns from other sites/customers.Implementation of related corrective and preventative actions.Maintenance, programming and breakdown repair of the manufacturing equipment.Delivery of daily and weekly equipment maintenance procedures (TPM).Timely completion of internal and external audit actions.Processing of rejected parts from the area.Qualifications, Skills and Experience required for the Electronics Support TechnicianHNC/HND in engineering (electronics is advantageous). Engineering Degree is desirable.Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (electronics is advantageous).Working knowledge of electronics manufacturing process stages and test systems.Competent at component level fault finding and repair is advantageous.An understanding of electronic engineering drawings and schematic circuit diagrams.Understanding of technical investigations, problem solving and improvements.Must be PC literate with experience of Microsoft Office (Including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
