As the primary lead for the Birstall drawings management system, you will ensure the site remains fully compliant with local legislative standards and industry best practices. You will act as the technical heartbeat of the engineering department, collaborating with Project Engineers and Reliability teams to maintain a suite of critical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Documentation: Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, including site masterplans, general arrangements, P&IDs, piping schematics, and MEP systems.
Site Accuracy: Conduct regular factory surveys to ensure all drawings reflect "as-built" status.
Accountability: Act as the key accountable person for the site drawings register.
Collaboration: Work with external partners to maintain 3D model completeness and manage design changes.
Engineering Support: Assist in layout development, design reviews, and the continuous improvement of existing documentation.
What We Are Looking For
Proven Expertise: Significant experience as a Draftsperson or CAD Designer.
Technical Mastery: Strong skills in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD or similar).
Analytical Mindset: The ability to interpret complex engineering concepts and translate them into precise technical drawings.
Manufacturing Insight: A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and how they translate to paper.
