Our client is a longstanding M&E and Fitout contractor seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CAD Engineer to join theirr growing team in Wakefield to work on a number of exciting projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in 2D and M&E design to contribute to a variety of exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities
As a CAD Engineer, you will be integral to our design process, working closely with project managers and engineers. Your main duties will include:
Creating and modifying 2D drawings for M&E services, including lighting, power, fire alarms, plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems.
Ensuring all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and project specifications.
Working collaboratively with project teams to resolve design issues and incorporate changes.
Conducting site surveys to gather necessary data for accurate drawing creation.
Maintaining and organizing project drawing files in an efficient and accessible manner.
Assisting in the preparation of as-built drawings upon project completion.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience as a CAD Engineer, preferably within the M&E or construction industry.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for 2D drafting.
A solid understanding of M&E systems and their design principles.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
