Job Summary:
Haringey Council is seeking an experienced and committed Team Manager to lead our Early Help Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that children, young people, and families receive effective and timely support at an early stage to prevent the escalation of need and reduce demand on statutory services.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of Early Help practitioners delivering front-line support services.
Ensure high-quality assessments and targeted interventions are delivered in line with best practice and statutory guidance.
Provide supervision, performance management, and support to team members.
Work collaboratively with schools, health services, and community organisations.
Monitor and report on service outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement.
Drive innovation and strengths-based approaches in supporting families.
Promote safeguarding and early intervention to improve long-term outcomes.
Requirements:
Proven experience managing or supervising a team within children's services or early help.
Sound understanding of early intervention, safeguarding, and child development.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Social Work qualification or relevant management background in Early Help.
Enhanced DBS and registration with Social Work England (if applicable).
