The Role: Computer Science Teacher
This is a full-time, long-term contract position with an ASAP start.
Key Stages: You will be teaching Computer Science across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), with potential for Key Stage 5 (KS5) teaching depending on experience and departmental need.
Curriculum: You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons covering topics such as programming (e.g., Python), computational thinking, data representation, and the ethical use of technology.
Responsibilities:
Maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
Contribute to the development of the Computer Science curriculum and departmental resources.
Participate in school activities, including parents' evenings and staff meetings.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will be:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Have a relevant degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
Possess a strong knowledge of the current UK Computer Science curriculum.
Demonstrate a passion for the subject and the ability to inspire secondary school students.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
