Construction Administrator / Document Controller
Location: Bristol, UK Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Are you an organised and proactive administrator with a passion for the construction industry? I am currently recruiting for a leading construction contractor seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Administrator / Document Controller to join their very successful team in Bristol.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in the smooth and efficient running of their construction projects. You will be responsible for managing all project documentation, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with their rigorous standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals, using an electronic document management system.
Control the flow of documents, ensuring timely distribution to the project team, subcontractors, and clients.
Ensure all documents are correctly filed, logged, and archived according to company procedures.
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the project team, including diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking.
Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and project-related correspondence.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, building strong professional relationships.
Manage office supplies and general office administration tasks.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of document control procedures and systems (e.g., Viewpoint, Aconex, etc.).
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A proactive and positive attitude, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
