The Role
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a well-regarded secondary school in Bradford. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible. The role of a Cover Supervisor is to manage a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. You will be responsible for ensuring students remain on task and engaged with the pre-planned work provided. The role requires a strong presence and the ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment. You will be a vital part of the school's daily operations, ensuring continuity of education and supporting the academic progress of all students.

Requirements
... - Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
- A strong understanding of classroom management techniques.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Responsibilities
- Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Managing pupil behaviour in the classroom to ensure a constructive learning environment.
- Ensuring students are on task with the pre-prepared work.
- Responding to and addressing any immediate questions or issues from students.
- Liaising with the school's teaching staff and administrative team.
- Upholding the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times.
- Reporting back to the Head of Department or relevant teacher on class progress.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students under your supervision.
- Leaving the classroom in a tidy and organised state for the returning teacher.
- Providing pastoral support to students as and when required.
