We are seeking a highly organised and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team in the Horsham area. This crucial role involves supporting student learning and maintaining a productive, safe environment for independent study.
The Role
You will be responsible for supervising students during study periods, ensuring an atmosphere conducive to work, and promoting positive behaviour in line with school policies. Key responsibilities will include:
Supervision and Learning Environment: Actively supervising students in study sessions (including the Internal Exclusion Room) and ensuring all students are focused on the appropriate work set.
Behaviour Management: Consistently following the school's routines and policies for managing student behaviour, promoting mutual respect, and ensuring students feel safe and secure.
Administrative Support: Keeping an accurate register of students during supervised periods and ensuring administrative processes are followed.
Pastoral and Community Support: Acting as a role model to students through personal presentation and professional conduct. Working collaboratively with colleagues, including Heads of House, to monitor standards of dress, behaviour, and organisation.
Safeguarding: Taking responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students and following all procedures, including the Child Protection and Safeguarding policies.
