Are you an experienced and proactive Design Manager looking for your next challenge? Our client based on Severn Trent Water is seeking a highly skilled freelance Design Manager to join our team in Worcestershire.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the delivery of critical water infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the design process from conception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all design activities across multiple projects.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients.
Ensure designs comply with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
Review and approve design deliverables.
Identify and mitigate design risks.
Drive continuous improvement in design processes.
About You:
Proven experience as a Design Manager, ideally within the water or utilities sector.
Strong understanding of design principles and project lifecycle.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in relevant design software and project management tools.
A proactive and problem-solving approach.
Based in or able to easily commute to Worcestershire.
