Randstad Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across the Preston area, with immediate and September 2025 start dates available.
We're looking for individuals with experience in Early Years or KS1 who are passionate about helping children build strong foundations for future learning. Whether you're seeking the flexibility of day-to-day supply or the consistency of a longer-term post, we have roles to suit your preferences and strengths.
The Role:
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you'll support classroom routines and help pupils build the foundations of literacy, numeracy, social skills, and emotional development. You'll work closely with the class teacher and other support staff, promoting engagement, independence, and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
Your Key Responsibilities:
... - Set up and deliver engaging early literacy and numeracy activities
- Provide group and 1:1 support to suit different learning styles
- Offer regular feedback to teachers about pupil progress and behaviour
- Support the implementation of IEPs, behaviour plans, and care programmes
- Encourage confidence, curiosity, and participation in all activities
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
- Track developmental milestones and celebrate achievements
What We're Looking For:
- Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or currently studying towards one)
- Experience supporting children in Early Years or KS1 settings
- Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and learning goals
- Confident managing behaviour and creating positive routines
- A flexible, proactive, and nurturing approach
- Awareness of (or openness to learning about) SEND
