Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in site management? We are looking for a dedicated professional to join an established site team on a major project in Morpeth. You will be an integral part of a team that includes engineers, commercial staff, and a Project Manager, supporting the delivery of complex mechanical and electrical works.
Key Details
- Location: HMP Northumberland, Morpeth (NE65 9XG).
- Daily Rate: £300.00 - £450.00 (Umbrella PAYE).
- IR35 Status: In Scope.
- Start Date: 20th April (or earlier if available).
- Duration: Initially until 31st December 2026.
- Holiday Entitlement: 34 days.
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will supervise electrical and mechanical subcontractors while ensuring the highest standards of site safety and quality. Your daily duties will include:
- Conducting daily site safety briefings.
- Daily reporting, record keeping, and weekly progress updates.
- Managing site safety compliance and performing QA checks.
- Developing 6-week look-ahead schedules.
- Supporting M&E Site Managers within the established site team.
- Note: Initial duties are "outside the wire," but you must be willing to undergo EL1 clearance to access the wider site if required.
Requirements
To be successful in this application, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Experience: Proven Electrical Site Management experience.
- Qualifications: City & Guilds (or equivalent) and valid 18th Edition.
- CSCS: Valid Black or Gold CSCS card.
- Site Safety: SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a Basic DBS and BPSS check.
