How You'll Contribute
Classroom Innovation: Plan and deliver high-impact lessons for KS3 and KS4, bringing both classic texts and modern language to life.
Student Achievement: Use your knowledge of GCSE specifications to drive progress and help students exceed their predicted grades.
Positive Culture: Maintain high expectations for learning and behavior, fostering an inclusive environment where students feel safe and motivated.
Faculty Collaboration: Work closely with established teams to share resources, plan interventions, and support the wider life of the school.
Professional Excellence: Adhere to all school policies and safeguarding procedures while maintaining a professional and adaptable approach.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must hold QTS and a relevant degree (English Literature/Language or similar).
Local Commitment: A desire to work with the diverse and talented young people of the Wigan borough.
Adaptable Skills: The ability to join a new department mid-term or for a long-term assignment and make an immediate impact.
Engagement: A proven ability to manage behavior effectively and engage students of all abilities.
Clearance: A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or a willingness to process a new one).
