Teacher of English (Key Stage 3 & 4 with Sixth Form potential)
A High School, located in the stunning historic and scenic landscape of Bolton, is seeking a talented and passionate Teacher of English to join our dedicated team. The Role: What You Will BringThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature across the main secondary phase (ages 11-16) and potentially the Sixth Form (ages 16-18).
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated English lessons that challenge and engage all learners.
Contribute actively to the continual development of the English curriculum, embedding diverse texts and modern pedagogical approaches.
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, using data to inform effective intervention strategies.
Act as a dedicated form tutor, providing pastoral support and promoting the school's values.
Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven ability to teach English effectively at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
High expectations for student achievement, behaviour, and effort.
Excellent behaviour/classroom management and communication skills.
- A track record of success in raising attainment across diverse student cohorts.
