We are seeking a highly motivated and inspiring Part-Time Teacher of English to join our successful and supportive English department on a fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

The Role: English Teacher (Maternity Cover)
This is a Part-Time fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, commencing [Insert Start Date Here].
Working Hours: The role requires the teacher to be in school for full days on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons across Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) and Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11) for a range of abilities.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Contribute to the development of schemes of work, teaching materials, and pastoral activities within the English department and the wider school.
Maintain a stimulating, safe, and disciplined learning environment.
Attend relevant departmental and whole-school meetings as required on working days.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
A relevant Honours Degree in English or a related subject.
Proven experience teaching English at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
A commitment to creating an inclusive and challenging learning environment.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
