English Teacher Required in Surrey.
We are seeking a highly motivated and inspiring Teacher of English to join a successful and well-regarded department at a vibrant secondary school located in Horley. This is an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
Full-time, permanent position (part-time may be considered for an exceptional candidate).
Start date is ASAP - we are looking for a candidate who can begin promptly.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Years 7-11). Experience teaching to A-Level is desirable but not essential.
Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and departmental resources.
Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement effective intervention strategies.
Act as a form tutor, fostering the academic and personal growth of a small group of students.

Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has a passion for English literature and language and the ability to instil this enthusiasm in students.
Possesses excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.

Is a strong team player, willing to share best practice and contribute positively to department life.
