About Our Client:

The Role:
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects typically valued up to £30 million. You will be responsible for ensuring that the company's bids are not only profitable but also reflective of the high standards and quality they are known for.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for industrial, commercial, and logistics projects.
Review and understand project-specific tender requirements and contractual terms.
Calculate the cost of all project elements, including materials, labor, transport, and equipment hire.
Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, and suggest value engineering solutions where appropriate.
Read blueprints and take measurements to inform accurate pricing.
Prepare and submit tender documents and bids.
Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and the project delivery team to ensure a seamless handover.
Conduct site visits to proposed construction sites.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably within the industrial or commercial construction sectors.
A background in civil engineering or quantity surveying is desirable.
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other industry-specific software.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
A team-player mentality with the ability to communicate effectively with senior personnel.
A proactive approach with high attention to detail.
