About the school:
This dynamic Secondary School is in Southend-on-Sea and their aim is to ensure that the talents and strengths of every young person are nurtured, encouraged, developed and celebrated.
We are seeking to appoint an Exams Officer to join our dynamic, busy and friendly Business Support Team. This is a full time role and you will be from Monday- Friday and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The school requires the following responsibilities
... - Ensure the smooth running and integrity of all systems and procedures related to public examinations, including the management of the examinations budget
- To ensure that all aspects of the day-to-day organisation of the examination boards requirements are fully complied with to enable the centre to maintain its examination status
- To liaise with the facilities team to ensure that facilities for students undertaking examinations are of the highest possible standard and in line with requirements
- To ensure that Examination Boards/Authorities are made aware of any special requirements for students/school and that appropriate provision is made
- To make appropriate timetabling and room arrangements, ensuring minimal impact on teaching and learning
- To liaise with Examination Boards in respect of the administration of entries, coursework requirements, the conduct of examinations and examination results
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to process student data to provide statistical reports and analysis
- Recording details of late arrivals and early leavers and collecting scripts from early leavers
- Supervising any candidates who may need to leave the room in accordance with exam regulations

These are some of the requirements that we need from you :
- Experience of working in a school or further education setting
- Experience in the role of an examinations officer
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)
- An enhanced DBS on the update service
- Good organisational skills, Punctuality and reliability
- You will need to be able to work quickly and under time restrictions
- Relevant experience and 2 proven professional reference
- SIMs experience
