Randstad Education is actively recruiting passionate and skilled Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Supply Teachers (QTS) for day-to-day and long-term roles across our partner primary schools.
This is a critical role focused on nurturing our youngest learners (ages 3-5). You will be responsible for providing a rich, safe, and stimulating environment in line with the EYFS framework, ensuring children are happy, engaged, and making excellent progress in their prime and specific areas of learning.
Key Responsibilities
Framework Fidelity: Confidently plan, deliver, and assess activities based on the EYFS Curriculum, focusing on learning through play, continuous provision, and adult-led activities.
Observation & Assessment: Conduct accurate and ongoing observations to assess children's development, inform planning, and identify next steps in their learning journey.
Literacy & Phonics: Implement effective strategies for developing early language skills, communication, and basic phonics awareness in both Nursery and Reception classes.
Safe & Nurturing Environment: Manage the classroom effectively, ensuring both indoor and outdoor areas are safe, inviting, and conducive to learning, while maintaining excellent behaviour management suitable for the age group.
Parental Engagement: Liaise professionally with parents and carers regarding the children's daily progress and well-being.
Safeguarding: Maintain a rigorous, non-negotiable commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
What We Require
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must hold Qualified Teacher Status relevant to the UK.
Essential Experience: Recent and demonstrated experience teaching within Nursery and/or Reception classes. Deep understanding of the EYFS framework is paramount.
DBS: A current, clear Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Randstad).
Qualities: Exceptional patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine affinity for early childhood development.
