We are seeking a highly competent finisher to join our team on an active new build housing development in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the high-quality completion of residential properties, ensuring they meet the exacting standards expected by our clients and future homeowners.
The Role:
As an experienced finisher, you will be crucial in bringing our new homes to their final, pristine condition. Your responsibilities will involve a variety of tasks, ensuring a high-quality finish across multiple plots. Key duties include:
- Snagging & Remedial Work: Identifying and rectifying minor defects and snags across all trades (joinery, plastering, painting, tiling, etc.).
- Mastic/Sealant Application: Applying mastic and sealants neatly around sanitaryware, kitchens, windows, and other internal/external joints.
- Minor Joinery: Undertaking small carpentry tasks such as adjusting doors, fitting architraves, skirting boards, and window boards.
- Patch Plastering: Carrying out small areas of plaster patching and making good.
- Painting & Decorating: Touch-up painting, preparing surfaces, and ensuring a flawless finish.
- Tiling & Grouting: Performing minor tiling repairs and meticulous grouting.
- General Finishing: Ensuring all areas are clean, tidy, and ready for inspection/handover.
- Working to exacting quality standards and tight deadlines.
- Liaising effectively with Site Management and other trades.
- Adhering strictly to all site health and safety regulations.
What We're Looking For:
- Extensive experience as a Finisher on new build housing sites is essential.
- Multi-skilled proficiency across various trades (joinery, plastering, painting, mastic, basic tiling).
- Valid CSCS Card is mandatory.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high-quality finish.
- Ability to identify and rectify defects efficiently and effectively.
- Strong understanding of residential construction processes and quality standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and a proactive approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Own full set of hand tools appropriate for finishing tasks.
- Own PPE (hard hat, safety boots, high-vis vest).
- Preferably own transport, or ability to reliably commute to the Hull area.
