About the Role:
- Respond to urgent referrals and conduct initial assessments of children and families, identifying immediate needs and risks.
- Make critical decisions regarding the safety and well-being of children, ensuring appropriate interventions are implemented promptly.
- Engage with families, building rapport and understanding to collaboratively develop solutions.
- Work effectively under pressure, managing a demanding workload and prioritizing urgent cases.
- Complete detailed and accurate records, adhering to statutory guidelines and timescales.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a Children's Social Worker. Experience in a first response or similar fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills. Experience of working with children at risk of significant harm is essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to child-centered practice and safeguarding.
