An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join a fostering service as an Independent Form F Assessor. This is an ad hoc role focused solely on the assessment of prospective foster carers. The successful candidate will work independently to evaluate the suitability of applicants, providing high-quality, analytical reports without the requirement of ongoing caseholding. This position is perfect for a practitioner seeking a flexible, "paid-per-completion" arrangement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conducting a series of home-based interviews with prospective foster carers to evaluate their skills and suitability.
Utilising Form F framework to produce a comprehensive, evidence-based assessment.
Analysing the applicants' history, family dynamics, and parenting capacity.
Gathering and evaluating third-party information, including personal references and statutory checks.
Presenting the final report to the Fostering Panel and providing a professional recommendation for approval.
Rate: £2,500 per assessment
