About the Role:
As a Qualified Social Worker in our Front End Assessment Team, you will play a crucial role in undertaking initial assessments of children and families, identifying needs, and developing appropriate plans to ensure their safety and well-being. You will work collaboratively with various agencies and professionals to provide timely and effective support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Undertake comprehensive and timely assessments of children and families in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Gather and analyze information from various sources to inform assessment outcomes and decision-making.
- Identify risks and protective factors for children and young people, escalating concerns as appropriate.
- Develop clear, child-centered plans that address identified needs and promote positive outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with children, young people, families, and other professionals to ensure effective multi-agency working.
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to families during the assessment process.
- Prepare clear, concise, and analytical reports and maintain accurate records on all cases.
- Attend and contribute to relevant meetings, including strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and court hearings.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and local authority policies.
- Participate in supervision, training, and continuous professional development.
Key Requirements:
- You must be a Qualified Social Worker.
- Social Work England registration is essential.
- An updated Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
