- Develop and implement multi-agency safety plans, collaborating closely with partners such as police, education, and health services.
- Work directly with young people to understand their experiences and empower them to make positive choices.
- Provide ongoing support and intervention, focusing on building resilience and protective factors.
- Contribute to the continuous development of our contextual safeguarding approach.
What we offer:
- A supportive and collaborative working environment where your professional development is valued.
- Lower caseloads to enable you to provide high-quality, impactful support to young people.
- Opportunities for continuous professional development and training in contextual safeguarding.
- A commitment to your well-being and work-life balance.
- The chance to be part of a forward-thinking team making a real difference in the lives of young people in Gateshead.
About you:
- You must be a qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- You'll have a strong understanding of contextual safeguarding principles and experience of working with young people at risk of harm outside the home.
- You're passionate about advocating for young people and empowering them to achieve positive outcomes.
- You're an excellent communicator, able to build rapport with young people, families, and partner agencies.
- You're resilient, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
