About the Role
We're looking for a dedicated General Cover Teacher to join a progressive and vibrant secondary school in Bradford this September. This is a full-time position where you'll be delivering pre-prepared lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and 4 during periods of teacher absence. Your Skills and Responsibilities
As a General Cover Teacher, your role will be to keep students engaged and learning. We're looking for someone with strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport quickly. You'll need to be flexible, well-organised, and able to adapt to different subjects and age groups with a professional and calm demeanor.
Your key duties will include:
- Delivering planned lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Enforcing school policies on behaviour and safeguarding.
- Supervising students to ensure their continued progress.
- Communicating with staff as needed and reporting any concerns.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- The right to work in the UK.
- Experience teaching students aged 11-16.
- An Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness to get one).
