The Role
As a General Cover Teacher in Wakefield, you will play a vital part in maintaining the continuity of education across local schools. This is a role for an energetic and flexible professional who can confidently deliver pre-prepared lessons to students in the absence of their usual teacher. Requirements:

- Delivering pre-prepared lessons and resources across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Managing the classroom effectively to ensure a positive and focused learning environment.
- Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and participation.
- Supporting students in their learning and encouraging them to stay on task.
- Applying strategies to meet the needs of different learners.
- Upholding the school's values and behavioural policies in every interaction.
- Building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents where necessary.
- Supervising students during break times and non-contact periods if required.
- Adhering to all school-specific safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Providing feedback to the regular class teacher on student progress and any issues that arose.
