Are you a flexible, proactive teacher who thrives on variety? We are a highly regarded secondary school in Woking looking for a dedicated General Cover Teacher to join our team on a long-term basis starting after the Easter break.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys engaging with different year groups and subjects, providing continuity and high-quality learning experiences even when the regular class teacher is away.
The Role
As a General Cover Teacher, you won't just be "minding the class." You will be an integral part of our academic community, ensuring students remain on track with their curriculum.
Adaptability: Delivering pre-planned lessons across various subjects (KS3 & KS4).
Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive, productive learning environment according to school policy.
Student Engagement: Supporting students with their work and fostering a culture of curiosity.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience in a secondary school setting.
A "can-do" attitude and the ability to think on your feet.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with students.
The "Plus": The ability to teach French is a significant advantage and may lead to more specialised timetable opportunities.
