This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in the smooth operation of our premises, contributing to the world-renowned experience we offer to our visitors and ensuring our spaces are always at their best.
Salary: £12.21 Per hours
Hours: 32 hours
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7am - 4pm
Requirements: Driving license
As a Porter, your key duties will include:
Facilities Support: Providing essential porter services across our Stratford sites, including moving equipment, stationery, deliveries, and furniture. This also involves the removal of refuse and garden waste.
Estate Maintenance: Ensuring the exterior of our buildings, pathways, and car parks are kept clean, tidy, and clear of obstructions year-round, including snow clearing and gritting in winter.
Logistics & Events: Collecting and delivering internal post, assisting with the installation of promotional materials like flags and banners, and setting up for a variety of private and public events. You'll also be responsible for managing wheelchair seating for performances.
Property Assistance: Supporting the Property Services Manager with accommodation functions, assisting with gardening duties at residential premises, and helping with property turnaround (which will include occasional Sunday work).
Operational Excellence: Accompanying visiting contractors, ensuring all necessary paperwork (including permits to work) is completed accurately. You'll also be crucial in monitoring and progressing tasks allocated through the Estates helpdesk, providing updates to colleagues, and proactively identifying areas for improvement.

An excellent communicator, able to liaise effectively with colleagues and contractors.
Flexible and adaptable, willing to undertake a variety of tasks as required.
