Salary: £150 - £220 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Your Duties
- Create Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver exciting and well-structured geography lessons for students from Key Stage 3 to A-Level, covering both physical and human geography.
- Encourage Fieldwork: Organise and lead fieldwork trips and other extracurricular activities to bring geographical concepts to life.
- Assess and Support: Use a variety of assessment methods to track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to help them excel.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the department head to develop an innovative and relevant geography curriculum that reflects current global issues.
- Pastoral Care: Contribute to the pastoral life of the school, acting as a form tutor and supporting student's personal and academic development.
Skills & Qualifications
- A degree in Geography or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching geography at a secondary school level.
- A profound knowledge of both physical and human geography, and a genuine passion for the subject.
- Excellent classroom management and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
