About the Role
This full-time teaching position requires a passionate and highly competent practitioner to deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 involvement. The successful candidate will be a pivotal part of the Humanities department, driving student attainment and fostering a genuine curiosity about the world. Essential Requirements
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent relevant teaching qualification.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements for Geography.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

- High-level subject matter expertise in both Human and Physical Geography.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) with students, colleagues, and parents.

- A capacity for collaborative teamwork within the department and wider school.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and review of the departmental curriculum and schemes of work.
- Establish and maintain a stimulating, safe, and orderly learning environment in line with school policy.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities, including school trips and fieldwork.
- Attend and actively contribute to departmental meetings, whole-school staff meetings, and training sessions.
- Act as a Tutor, providing pastoral care and monitoring the academic and personal well-being of a designated group of students.
- Liaise with parents/carers and external agencies regarding student progress and welfare, as required.
- Uphold the school's commitment to high standards of behaviour, uniform, and punctuality.
- Ensure compliance with all school and statutory safeguarding, health, and safety policies.
