The Role: Empowering Girls Through Sport
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in developing our girls' sports provision and fostering a lifelong love for physical activity.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver High-Quality Teaching: Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially A-Level, depending on experience and school provision).
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the continuous development and review of the girls' PE curriculum, ensuring breadth and challenge.
Extracurricular Commitment: Organise, lead, and supervise a range of popular extracurricular sports clubs and teams, and attend fixtures (which may require after-school commitment).
Pastoral Care: Act as a form tutor and contribute to the school's pastoral system, helping to support the holistic development of our students.
Promote Participation: Actively encourage high levels of participation and success for all girls in PE lessons and competitive sport.
Who We Are Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
Proven experience teaching a broad range of physical activities to girls at secondary level.
Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
A dedicated team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
