We are seeking a reliable and motivated Goods-in Operative to join our warehouse team in Loughborough (Bishop Meadow Road). In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently, adhering to high standards of safety and quality.
Role Overview
- Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour
- Salary Equivalent: £26,083
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
- Hours: 38 hours per week
- Duration: 12-month contract
- Location: Loughborough - Bishop Meadow Road (On-site)
Key Responsibilities
As a Goods-in Operative, your focus will be on the smooth operation of warehouse activities and meeting daily goals. Your duties will include:
Receiving & Unloading: Accepting deliveries and returns from suppliers; unloading items using manual handling equipment.
- Quality Control: Checking the quantity and quality of incoming goods against purchase orders or shipping notices.
- Inventory Management: Booking goods into the warehouse management system and putting them away in designated zones.
- Order Fulfillment: Picking and assembling customer orders using radio data terminals and preparing them for secure transportation.
- Dispatch: Sorting orders into outbound routes and safely loading vehicles according to manifest sequences.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations, such as forklift driving, picking, packing, or dispatch
- communication: Ability to understand written and verbal procedures and instructions in English.
- Teamwork: A cooperative approach, willing to assist others to achieve departmental goals
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely following relevant training.
- Professionalism: A self-motivated attitude with a professional approach to work and appearance.
- Compliance: Ability to follow standard operating procedures and adhere to Health and Safety guidelines
