Are you passionate about making a real difference in communities through early intervention and prevention work? We're looking for a Grants and Monitoring Support Officer to help shape and deliver impactful, community-based preventative programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of grant funding that supports community organisations across Torfaen. The role includes grant administration, monitoring compliance, performance review and working closely with key stakeholders to ensure that funding outcomes align with early intervention principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer a range of grants, including Third Sector Major Grants.
- Monitor compliance, performance and review grant-funded programmes.
- Collaborate with the Contract Lead Officer and internal teams to improve grant processes.
- Support community organisations through the grant application and reporting process.
- Maintain strong working relationships with local groups and partner organisations.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a similar role (public, voluntary, or preventative services).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of grant frameworks and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Ability to travel across Torfaen to deliver project support as required.
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience in community development or voluntary sector work.
- Awareness of funding streams such as Building Resilient Communities.
- Ability to communicate in Welsh or a willingness to learn.
