Randstad Education has an exciting leadership opportunity for a dynamic and inspirational Head of Physical Education (PE) to join a thriving academy. The suitable candidate will be responsible for shaping an outstanding curriculum and inspiring both students and staff.
This is a permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours.

Responsibilities:
... - Lead and manage the PE department, including staff, curriculum, and strategy.
- Drive standards of teaching and learning and be accountable for student attainment and progress.
- Manage the departmental budget, resources, and extra-curricular sports programme.
- Ensure departmental compliance with all safeguarding and health & safety policies.
- Act as the lead practitioner and role model for excellence in PE.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven leadership and management experience within a school (e.g., Second in Department, Head of Key Stage).
- A strong track record of improving student attainment and exam results.
- Experience in curriculum design, strategic planning, and implementation.
- Skill in managing a departmental budget and resources.
- Ability to lead and develop a successful extra-curricular sports programme.
