The Role:
A highly successful 11-16 mixed academy, situated just north of Cambridge, is seeking a dedicated Head of Religious Education. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher with a strong track record, or a current middle leader ready for the next challenge, who is prepared to drive standards and curriculum development.
You will be responsible for defining the vision for RE, ensuring all students receive a high-quality education that encourages deep thought and understanding, and consistently achieves excellent academic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the RE curriculum in alignment with the school's knowledge-rich and rigorous approach.
- Drive high standards of teaching and learning across the department, modelling excellent classroom practice.
- Monitor, assess, and support student progress, ensuring outstanding outcomes for all learners at KS3 and KS4.
- Effectively manage departmental resources, budgets, and assessment strategies.
- Contribute actively to whole-school initiatives and uphold the highest standards of behaviour and scholarly culture.
