Are you able to provide leadership on the people aspects of business plans and provide input on people and organisational issues?

Responsibilities:
- Support the HR agenda by delivering a business focussed HR service to the site leadership teams
- Build effective relationships with Unions and employee committees
- Participate fully in key people related change decisions, anticipating and effectively dealing with any people issues
- Play an active role in employee engagement activities
- Advise, challenge, coach and support Managers in their role on people-related processes (e.g. performance management, personal and team development, career path implementation, resource planning and recruitment)
- Use the HR dashboard (Via workday or local ones) to shape and drive local action plans within People Plan i.e. to reduce absenteeism, improve local engagement, facilitate survey action plans, improve PDRs
- Manage complex employee relation issues i.e. discipline, absence management, performance management, redundancies
- Work closely with regional trade union organisers / employee representatives developing collaborative working relationship
- Analyse trends and work with business partners to manage resource forecasting and planning.
- Monthly site visits required
Essential requirements:
- CIPD qualified, Graduate or Member status or equivalent by experience
- Very strong HR Business Partnering skills with strong employee relations experience
- Sound up to date knowledge of employment legislation
- Strong change management, people management, re-structuring, employee relations and recruitment expertise
- Proven track record as a HR generalist with experience in a fast paced and unionised environment
- Excellent team leadership skills and a practical `hands on' approach to all HR issues with a continuous improvement mind-set
- Driving licence and vehicle due to site visits
