Key Responsibilities & Search Criteria
We are looking for a Secondary Humanities Teacher ready to deliver a knowledge-rich curriculum that challenges and engages.
Diverse Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute high-impact lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5) that encourage students to think critically about the past, present, and future.
Monitoring "Flight Paths": Use sophisticated data tracking to ensure every student remains on their projected progress path, implementing creative interventions where necessary.
Exemplary Behaviour Systems: Utilise the academy's proven "firm but fair" routines to maintain a classroom environment where deep learning can thrive.
Character Advocacy: Act as a role model and Form Tutor, fostering the resilience and cultural capital students need to succeed in modern Britain.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this Humanities Teaching position in Chafford Hundred, you must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A mandatory requirement.
Subject Specialism: A degree in Geography, History, Philosophy, or a related Humanities discipline.
Proven Experience: A successful track record of teaching Humanities within a UK secondary school.
Safeguarding Commitment: A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service and an uncompromising approach to student safety.
