Key Responsibilities & Search Criteria
We are looking for a Secondary Humanities Teacher ready to deliver measurable results across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute engaging lessons-exploring historical inquiries, geographical processes, and philosophical debates-aligned with the National Curriculum and GCSE specifications.
Data-Driven Progress: Use formative assessment data to bridge attainment gaps and ensure no student falls behind their projected "Flight Path" or progress targets in their specialized Humanities subjects.
Classroom Leadership: Maintain a focused, logical, and inclusive learning environment using the academy's proven, consistent behavior management strategies.
Pastoral Care: Act as a Form Tutor, supporting the holistic well-being and academic mindset of your assigned cohort.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this Humanities Teaching job in Ockendon, you must meet the following:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory for this role (ECTs are welcome to apply).
Degree: A BA/BSc in History, Geography, Philosophy, or a closely related Humanities field.
Experience: A proven history of teaching Humanities subjects within a UK secondary school setting.
