We are seeking a skilled and reliable Joiner to carry out essential maintenance, installations, and remedial works within the secure environment in Northumberland. This is a unique opportunity for a professional who is comfortable working in a high-security setting and possesses the necessary clearance to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting general joinery maintenance and repairs across the prison estate.
Installing and maintaining secure doors, frames, furniture, and cabinetry.
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard while adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
Maintaining strict tool control and security procedures at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential: Must currently hold Enhanced Level 2 (EL2) prison vetting/clearance.
Trade Qualification: NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent City & Guilds.
Experience: Proven track record in commercial or industrial joinery; previous experience working within the justice sector or secure environments is highly desirable.
Mindset: A professional, resilient attitude with an acute awareness of security and environment-specific rules.
