We are currently recruiting motivated and energetic Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistants to join our busy supply team in Leeds. Our partner schools need supportive practitioners who can hit the ground running in Year 1 and Year 2 classes, helping children navigate the early years of the National Curriculum.

About the Role: Working within Key Stage 1 is rewarding and fast-paced. Your core duties will include:
Supporting the Class Teacher to deliver creative and structured lessons.
Leading daily Phonics groups (experience with schemes like Little Wandle, Read Write Inc., or Letters and Sounds is highly advantageous).
Working with small groups of pupils to boost confidence in early reading, writing, and numeracy.
Using positive behaviour management strategies to keep the class focused and happy.
Assisting with the preparation of resources to keep the day running smoothly.
What we need from you:
Experience: Recent experience working in a KS1 setting (Year 1 or Year 2) is essential.
Knowledge: A good understanding of Phonics and the KS1 curriculum.
Qualification: A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, but experience counts for a lot!
Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one) and two professional references.
