About the Role: As a KS1 Supply TA, you will play a crucial role in the classroom dynamic. Your daily responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Class Teacher with whole-class delivery and behaviour management.
Leading small group activities, specifically focused on Phonics, Reading, and early Numeracy.
Working 1:1 with pupils who require additional support to stay on task or access the curriculum.
listening to children read and recording their progress.
Assisting with the preparation of resources to ensure lessons run smoothly.
What we are looking for:
Experience: Recent experience working in a KS1 setting (Year 1 or Year 2) is essential.
Knowledge: Confidence with Phonics schemes (such as Little Wandle, Read Write Inc., or Letters and Sounds) is highly desirable.
Attitude: A proactive approach, someone who sees what needs doing and does it without needing to be asked.
Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) and two professional references.
