Most Suitable Roles & Responsibilities
The Class Teacher will be a driving force in the academic and pastoral life of the school:
Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and highly differentiated lessons across all National Curriculum subjects within your key stage.
Assessment and Data: Conduct rigorous formative and summative assessments, recording and analysing pupil performance data to effectively inform strategic interventions and planning.
Learning Environment: Maintain a stimulating, orderly, and well-managed classroom environment conducive to sustained high-quality learning and pupil well-being.
Subject Leadership: Be willing to take on a subject leadership responsibility (e.g., Computing, History), including resource management and whole-school monitoring, based on experience.
Safeguarding: Act as a key pastoral figure, implementing school safeguarding policies and ensuring the health and safety of all pupils in your care.
Collaboration: Liaise consistently with parents/carers through consultations and reports, and supervise/mentor any assigned Teaching Assistants effectively.
School Requirements
The school requires a teacher who is ready to make an immediate impact:
Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory, along with a recognised teaching degree (BEd/PGCE).
Experience: Proven, successful experience teaching across either the Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 age range in the UK.
Data Proficiency: Ability to analyse and interpret key performance data (e.g., relating to cohorts and target setting) to drive improvement.
Literacy Skills: Excellent knowledge of phonics and early reading schemes (e.g., Read Write Inc, Letters and Sounds) is desirable.
Leadership Potential: Demonstrable leadership potential and a keen appetite for continuous professional development (CPD).
