We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join one of our vibrant primary school communities from September 2025. This full-time role presents an exceptional opportunity to make a profound difference in the crucial early stages of our pupils educational journey.
The Role: Inspiring Our Youngest Learners
As a KS1 Teacher, you'll be at the heart of our school, nurturing the development of our pupils through creative and effective teaching. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering an Engaging Curriculum: Planning and delivering creative, age-appropriate lessons that align with national curriculum guidelines and our school's schemes of work, ensuring all children are actively involved.
- Creating a Nurturing Environment: Setting up a stimulating classroom, organising displays and resources that enhance exploration, and utilising diverse teaching methods (whole class, group work, play, experiments) to motivate and encourage interaction.
- Pupil Progress & Well-being: Taking responsibility for pupils academic progress, carrying out assessments, setting homework, and maintaining accurate records of achievements. You will identify children with additional needs or SEN, informing appropriate inclusion managers.
- Behaviour & Safeguarding: Setting clear expectations for discipline and behaviour, dealing with inappropriate conduct according to school policy, and proactively reporting any child protection or safeguarding concerns to the named person. You'll ensure a safe and healthy environment at all times.
- Collaboration & Communication: Actively contributing to your key stage, team, and full staff meetings. You will consult with colleagues and senior staff for guidance, report to parents on pupil progress, and liaise with external bodies when necessary. Supervising support staff and students will also be part of your remit.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
- A dedicated interest in children's education and a strong commitment to creating the best possible learning environment.
- The ability to communicate effectively with and inspire children, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
