Do you have the confidence to help older primary children tackle more complex numeracy and literacy challenges?
Are you skilled at building rapport with students who need a mentor as much as they need a classroom helper?
Do you want the freedom to choose which days you work while exploring different schools across Leeds?
If you answered "yes," Randstad Education wants to hear from you. We are the market leader in education recruitment in Leeds, and we are currently seeing a surge in demand for proactive Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistants (Years 3-6).
Whether you excel at supporting Year 6 pupils through their SATs preparation or helping Year 3s transition into the junior curriculum, we have daily and long-term opportunities to suit your schedule.
About the Role: As a KS2 Supply TA, you will be a vital part of the classroom team, helping to keep students focused and engaged. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Class Teacher with lesson delivery and maintaining positive behaviour.
Running targeted intervention groups for Maths and English (helping with times tables, reading comprehension, or grammar).
Working 1:1 with students who have SEN or social-emotional needs to ensure they stay on track.
Acting as a role model to help students develop independence and resilience.
Assisting with the marking of work and preparation of classroom resources.
What we are looking for:
Experience: Previous experience working with children in a KS2 setting (Year 3-6) is essential.
Skills: Strong literacy and numeracy skills are required to effectively support the KS2 curriculum.
Attitude: A resilient and adaptable nature, someone who can command respect and build relationships quickly.
Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) and two professional references.
