You will work under the guidance of our Research Support Team Leader to ensure that trial requests are executed with precision, strict adherence to safety standards, and high data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Trial Execution: Manage and support up to 8 different research trials per week.
Solution Preparation: Prepare a variety of flavor solutions and dietary supplements for in vivo testing.
Sample Processing: Process biological samples (including saliva and fecal matter) and prepare food samples for laboratory analysis.
Data Management: Accurately record data using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Excel, and specialized XDL software.
Compliance: Adhere strictly to Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the validity of research data.
Lab Maintenance: Manage chemical disposal according to safety protocols and ensure all trial samples are labeled and tracked correctly.
Collaboration: Attend weekly team meetings and contribute to "After Action Reviews" to improve trial methodologies.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Minimum A-Level standard or equivalent in a scientific discipline. A BSc or further education in a science-related field is highly desirable.
Experience: Previous experience working in a laboratory environment (either through professional work or academic research).
Technical Skills: High level of computer literacy; experience with LIMS or similar data tracking software is a plus.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in following protocols and recording data-there is no room for error in our research.
Agility: The ability to pivot between different techniques and trials within a single working day.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for team updates and reporting.
