Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support student learning across a variety of subjects, adapting teaching materials under the direction of the class teacher.
• Assist with the planning and preparation of resources tailored to individual educational plans (IEPs) or specific student needs.
• Work 1:1 or with small groups of students who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those with EHCPs.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
• Provide general administrative support to the teacher, such as photocopying, mounting displays, and organising resources.
• Assist with the physical care and hygiene of students if required, ensuring their health and safety are maintained at all times.
• Contribute to the assessment and recording of student progress, feeding back observations to the class teacher and SENDCo.
• Attend training and relevant meetings, including parent-teacher meetings as necessary.

What We're Looking For

We are searching for a candidate with the right blend of skills, experience, and attitude to thrive in our school community.

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and a commitment to helping every student succeed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
• The ability to be flexible, patient, and resilient when supporting students with varying and sometimes complex needs.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to GCSE Grade C/4 or above).
• The capacity to work effectively as part of a team and also take initiative when working independently.
