An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive and inclusive team serving the Romford area.
This is a fulfilling and critical role where you will directly impact the educational success and well-being of our students. You will primarily work with individuals and small groups, both inside and outside the classroom, to provide targeted support and help foster independent learning.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support student learning across a variety of subjects, adapting teaching materials under the direction of the class teacher.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of resources tailored to individual educational plans (IEPs) or specific student needs.
- Work 1:1 or with small groups of students who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those with EHCPs.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Provide general administrative support to the teacher, such as photocopying, mounting displays, and organising resources.
- Assist with the physical care and hygiene of students if required, ensuring their health and safety are maintained at all times.
- Contribute to the assessment and recording of student progress, feeding back observations to the class teacher and SENDCo.
- Attend training and relevant meetings, including parent-teacher meetings as necessary.

- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and a commitment to helping every student succeed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- The ability to be flexible, patient, and resilient when supporting students with varying and sometimes complex needs.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to GCSE Grade C/4 or above).
- The capacity to work effectively as part of a team and also take initiative when working independently.
