We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a highly collaborative school team.

About the Role
This vital LSA position involves working primarily with individual pupils or small groups across the school (Key Stages may vary) who require additional support to meet their educational and developmental targets. You will be instrumental in implementing tailored learning plans, adapting materials, and fostering the pupil's independence, confidence, and integration within the classroom.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to pupils with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) or other identified needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia).
- Assist the class teacher in preparing and adapting learning materials to meet diverse needs and ensure accessibility.
- Support pupils in developing key literacy and numeracy skills through focused intervention activities.
- Help manage pupil behaviour and promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation.
- Supervise pupils during unstructured times, such as breaks, lunch, and before/after school clubs, as required.
- Contribute to the assessment and recording of pupil progress and communicate observations effectively to the class teacher and SENCo.
- Support pupil mobility and personal care, where necessary, following established protocols.
What We're Looking For:
- Relevant experience working with children in a school or educational setting, preferably supporting pupils with SEN.
- A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- A patient, calm, and resilient temperament, with a genuine passion for supporting children.
- Excellent listening and communication skills to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
- The ability to work independently to implement support strategies, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of common barriers to learning and strategies to overcome them (e.g., visual timetables, social stories).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different age groups or support varying needs as required.
